Fiber and Yarn

All yarn is 100% alpaca in its natural colors, from the fiber of our own alpacas.  The fiber is hand sorted based on texture, fineness and color, and then sent to a mill specializing in spinning alpaca fiber.  This gives you a variety of types of yarn for different applications. 

Our raw fiber is currently out for processing into yarn, roving for hand spinners, batting and felt.  If you would like to be notified when the new products are available, please contact us!

	Lot #005-05.  Soft sport blend in a beautiful caramel color. This color is a medium-to-dark fawn, based on the alpaca color chart, and is made from the fiber of two alpacas on our farm - Aysen's Mani and Leia.  Mani has extremely fine fiber for a male alpaca of his age, and Leia has the finest and crimpiest fiber of all adult alpacas on our farm.  Sold in 4 oz. skeins, 350 yards in length.  Fine enough for infant wear - nearly "fingering" weight.	$18.50
	Lot # 006-05.  This is an "extra strong" fiber - from two of the older males on the farm - Batman and Satchmo.  The blend is a brown-black, with the brown providing a shimmer to the overall look.  Bulkier than other sport blends, this 4 oz. skein is 125 yards in length.  This would make great vests, blankets and hats!	$14.50
	Lot # 008-05.  This farm blend was made at the mill using fiber from many of the alpacas mentioned above.  Light heather in color, it has the appearance of a tweed.  It is soft and comfortable to the touch - just right for that fall sweater.  The 4 oz. skein is 245 yards.	$16.75
