Obi-Wan is a light-to-medium fawn male who was born with lots of crimpy fiber.  As is the case with his siblings, he is a big fiber-producer.  He has a beautiful head with lots of fiber coverage.  He is a very friendly alpaca - a favorite of vistors!  Obi-Wan has successfully settled females, and we are awaiting the results! Obi-Wan is the offspring of a family of award-winning alpacas from Dewey Meadows.

Ribbons:

  • 2nd place, 2 year old medium fawn male, North American Alpaca Show, April 5, 2008, in Springfield MA
  • 2nd place, 2 year old medium fawn male, Empire Extravaganza, Oct 20, 2007, in Syracuse, New York

Price: $15,000.  Contact us about breedings.

Obi-Wan comes from a family of fiber-producers, all regularly shearing more in weight than any other alpacas on the farm.  This includes his siblings, Luke and Leia, and Leia's first cria, Helderberg Chewbacca.  He is friendly and curious - everything you'd like an alpaca to be.

Obi-Wan has successfully settled females, and we are awaiting the results!  He will soon be available as a service sire.  Obi is sired from a line of award-winning alpacas from Dewey Meadows - Peruvian Premiere and Curly Calib.

This year, Obi produced 7 pounds of fiber; 3.3 pounds of blanket fiber, despite its fineness.  His fiber averages 20.5 microns, with only 3.4% exceeding 30 microns.

This picture from March 2006, at just six months of age, shows Obi's fiber volume and coverage.
