Obi-Wan
comes from a family of fiber-producers, all regularly shearing
more in weight than any other alpacas on the farm. This
includes his siblings, Luke and Leia,
and Leia's first cria, Helderberg
Chewbacca. He is friendly and curious - everything
you'd like an alpaca to be.
Obi-Wan
has successfully settled females, and we are awaiting the
results! He will soon be available as a service
sire. Obi is sired from a line of award-winning
alpacas from Dewey Meadows - Peruvian Premiere and Curly Calib. |

This
year, Obi produced 7 pounds of fiber; 3.3 pounds of blanket
fiber, despite its fineness. His fiber averages 20.5
microns, with only 3.4% exceeding 30 microns.
This
picture from March 2006, at just six months of age, shows
Obi's fiber volume and coverage. |
